The Trusted Freight Exchange (TFX) is Highway's free, secure digital marketplace and load exchange with thousands of real loads available every day from hundreds of trusted, verified brokers. It is free for carriers and gives you one place to find freight, post available trucks, and place and manage offers and manage load activity.

  • The user must be ID verified

  • Current uploaded COI from your insurance agent

  • Connected and active ELDTo use TFX

ELD Requirements

The Trusted Freight Exchange requires ALL trucks active on the platform to be ELD equipped. If you are legally ELD exempt from the FMCSA you are still required to be ELD equipped to have access to TFX. This is only a restriction for TFX and doesn’t affect eligibility for the other products and services in Highway.

ELD connections offer brokers clear, digital and physical footprints for your trucks and offers a way for us to verify all trucks posted on TFX.

Highway only collects and tracks the telematics data the ELD connection provides and does not collect or track Hours of Service or driving performance data. For more information about ELD connections please read this help article.

If you would like to equip your trucks with an ELD the cost associated is generally a one-time fee for the device itself and then a monthly fee of about $20-$50 for the service. We are integrated with almost 400 ELD providers and recommend Samsara, GeoTab, VerizonReveal and Motive as good places to start with as you find a provider you like.

If you do not need access to TFX but would still like to mark your truck as ELD exempt please follow these instructions
