Overview
Use the Highway App when you need to work with TFX away from the desktop. The main TFX areas in the app include Find Loads, Offers, Loads, and Capacity.
Some actions can be completed directly in the app, while others may open an external browser to continue the workflow.
Download the Highway for Carriers app from the App Store or Google Play Store.
For a general introduction to TFX before using the mobile experience, see Getting Started with TFX.
Find Loads
Use Find Loads to search available freight and review load opportunities from your phone.
Depending on the load and current TFX experience, you can review load details and take available actions such as submitting an offer or using Book Now when supported.
If you need a full walkthrough of searching, reviewing, and booking freight, see Find and Book Loads on the Trusted Freight Exchange (TFX).
Offers
The Offers page is where you manage offers and negotiation activity in the app.
Offers is organized into three main groups:
Action — offers that require action on your part as the next step. Depending on the offer, you may be able to accept, reject, or counter the offer.
Waiting — offers that require the broker to take action as the next step.
History — previous offer activity.
Submitting an offer does not reserve the load. If a broker sends a counteroffer, continue the negotiation from Offers or communicate directly with the broker when needed.
For more about offer responses, counters, withdrawals, and negotiation behavior, see Manage Offers and Negotiations.
Loads
Loads is where you review booked and active freight in the app.
The four main groups are:
Action Needed
Covered
In Transit
Closed
These groups help you find the right load quickly. The load itself may also show a more specific operational status such as Covered, In Transit, Assumed Delivered, Pickup Not Detected, Delayed, or Cancelled.
Action Needed
A red dot may appear when a load needs your attention. Open the load to review the requested action or latest status.
You may be asked to assign a vehicle or driver, complete required load information, or review an operational issue.
Search and Filter Loads
You can search or filter Loads using information such as Load ID, broker, origin, or destination.
Vehicle and Driver Assignments
Some loads require a vehicle, driver, or both to be assigned. Accurate assignments support tracking, status updates, and broker visibility.
If one vehicle will not complete the full trip, the load may need to be set up as a relay (staged) load. For the complete workflow, see Designating a Load as a Relay (Staged Load).
Some broker loads may also require Know Your Driver (KYD) verification before pickup. For the full requirements, see Complete Know Your Driver (KYD) verification before pickup.
Load Attachments
Assigned drivers can use the Highway App to add supported photos and documents to a load. These may include a Bill of Lading, Proof of Delivery, scale ticket, seal, vehicle or trailer photos, and other supporting documents.
Carrier users with load-management permissions can view uploaded attachments from the load details page.
For full attachment instructions and driver requirements, see Load Attachments: Photos and Documents.
Rate Confirmations
Rate Confirmations may be available from the associated load in the app. Review the load details for the current booking information and available documents.
For a broader explanation of booked-load activity, statuses, assignments, and rate confirmations, see Understanding My Loads.
Capacity
Use the Capacity page to add or review your available trucks in the app.
When posting capacity, select the eligible vehicle and enter the required availability details, including equipment, origin, and available date. Destination may be optional depending on the post.
Once posted, brokers can discover your available equipment through TFX.
For complete posting instructions, see Post Capacity on TFX. If TFX is suggesting trucks you may want to post, see Suggested Capacity.
Notifications
Your account notification settings can help you stay aware of TFX activity while working from your phone.
In Account Overview, depending on your account and available settings, you may be able to enable push and email notifications for TFX activity and Potential Capacity.
Potential Capacity is the notification-setting label. It is separate from the Suggested Capacity feature used to review personalized capacity suggestions.
Permissions and Access
What you can see or do in the app may depend on your carrier's TFX access and your user permissions. If a feature is missing or not working as expected, confirm that you are using the current version of the Highway App and check in with your company’s administrator to make sure your scopes are adjusted properly.
If a TFX feature such as Find Loads or Capacity is missing, see Why Can't I See Loads? for access guidance.
