Overview
Highway is enhancing account security by introducing Time-based One-Time Passwords (TOTP). This means you’ll use an authenticator app to verify your identity during login — adding an extra layer of protection to your account.
What’s Changing
You’ll use an authenticator app instead of receiving codes by email or text. Please view Getting Started with Your Authenticator App for more information.
When TOTP is enabled for your account, you’ll see a QR code or setup key during login. Please view Setting Up Two Factor Authentication on Your Highway Account for more information.
You’ll scan or enter that key in your authenticator app to register your device.
After setup, you’ll use a 6-digit code from your authenticator app each time you log in. Please view How To Log In with Your Authenticator App for more information.
What You’ll Need to Do
Install the Google Authenticator app on your mobile device or computer.
Log in to Highway — if prompted with a QR code or setup key, follow the on-screen steps to register your device.
Use the 6-digit code from your authenticator app to complete login going forward.
If You Change Devices
If you ever need to remove or change the device used for TOTP:
Contact Highway Support at service@highway.com or call 906-444-4929.
You’ll then go through the setup process again the next time you log in.
