What's Happening?
Highway is adding Time-based One-Time Passwords (TOTP) to enhance account security. This adds an extra layer of protection by requiring a constantly changing 6-digit code when you log in.
What Is an Authenticator App?
An authenticator app generates a constantly changing 6-digit code that you enter when signing in. This code refreshes every 30 seconds and helps verify that it’s really you accessing your account.
Authenticator apps can be used on mobile devices (iOS or Android). For Highway, we recommend installing the app on your phone for the most secure and reliable experience.
What You Need
You will need to download Google Authenticator on your mobile phone (iPhone or Android).
Step 1: Download Google Authenticator
Search for Google Authenticator.
Tap Install or Get.
Open the app and grant camera permissions (needed to scan QR codes).
Important Notes
The app will generate a new 6-digit code every 30 seconds.
Keep your phone secure, as it will be used to generate your login codes.
If you change phones, you will need to transfer or reconfigure Google Authenticator.
Keep the app updated to ensure the latest security improvements.
