Why Do I Need to Be Connected to a Broker Before Booking a Load?

Connect to a broker before booking a load in TFX

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Before you can submit an offer or book a load with a broker on TFX, you must first be connected (sometimes called “onboarded”) with that broker. This connection ensures the broker has all the information they need to work with you and allows TFX to securely pass your carrier details to the broker’s TMS during the booking or negotiation process.

Connecting with a broker establishes a verified, digital relationship that covers important operational details—such as contracts, payment terms, insurance, and your fleet/operational profile. Once connected, the broker can quickly recognize you in their system, approve transactions without delays, and handle downstream processes like payments, load tracking, and communication much more efficiently.

In short: connection unlocks the ability to transact on TFX. Without it, brokers cannot accept your offer or booking because the required business and compliance information has not been established.
